When Fur Flies! Frequent Flier Programs for Pets

American’s obsession with their pets has led more airlines to embrace dogs and cats onboard their planes. While most major airlines now allow pets, some airlines are real standouts – offering special pet programs and frequent flier miles for furry travelers.

Midwest Airlines was the first airline to offer a true frequent flier program for pets, where the pets actually can earn the free trips! Under their program, frequent flying pets can earn free travel when accompanied by their owner. Both in-cabin and below-cabin accommodations are available for pets. Pets can fly free two different ways: (1) Free Trips for Travel – For every three paid pet roundtrips (or 6 paid one-way trips) made with their owner, pets earn one free roundtrip; (2) Midwest Miles Award Travel – Midwest Miles members can redeem miles for their pets’ travel – 20,000 Midwest Miles for one roundtrip! Repairs help

When a motorbike fell on to the bonnet of our car, we had lots of trouble with establishing liability for the cost of the repairs, and also in checking what was the right price for repairing the vehicle. The last thing you want is to find problems with the finished job, so it is helpful to use a service which shows you the market rate for the job. So you can find out how much it costs to replace a timing belt, for example. If you have a common make of car such as a ford escort, this is a straightforward task. Because our damage claim was for the front end there were some internal parts needed – like a new water pump – as well as a new hood, of course. Gone are the days when bodyshops could make up their own prices – this is an unbiased service that lets you know the normal repair price and labour time for a given job, so it is going to help you whether your car needs servicing or crash repairs.

Designer Dog Clothes and the the Chihuahua

For those dog owners who have a small breed dog such as a Chihuahua the world of Designer Dog Clothes opens up a whole host of fashion opportunities. Dressing your doggy has never been more en vogue than it is right now. As well as looking adorable the Chihuahua owner is also keeping their best little pal warm and cosy too. How proud will the owner feel seeing their cute little dog wearing a funky t-shirt or that designer dog coat? Is there anything on the planet cuter than a little dog’s face peeking from under a designer hoodie?

Dressing your Chihuahua – fun and functional.
Having originated from Mexico Chihuahuas cope best with very hot conditions. The ears, for example, are disproportionately large in order to dissipate heat. When the weather turns cold Chihuahuas lose a great deal of heat through their ears and will soon start shivering. This is where items such as hoodies, hats and scarves come in to play. Other small breed of dogs appreciate the warmth provided by a cosy coat or sweater.

Help Your Dog To Feel Good; Buy Him Something To Wear

There are several good functional reasons why an owner should think about dressing their dog in clothes. With regard to designer dog clothes there are some that may consider this “frivolous” so I’ll be taking a look at that too.

Firstly let’s look at the functional purpose that some dog clothes can serve;

A lot of people say the dogs have their own coats and so do not need extra clothing. True!! They may have their own coats but a thick shaggy coat is no fun in hot,steamy weather and likewise a short haired coat is hardly ideal in mid winter in Alaska. Read more »

How to buy

I am a big fan of online shopping, as we no longer live in a big city.  If you can find the things you want to buy online, the cost can be less as you do not need to spend money on petrol and parking fees.  But, like most things in life, the same commodity can be offered at a range of different prices.  So it is a good idea to consult a good shopping comparison engine. To avoid ending up with your head spinning, save yourself time and trouble by sticking to a site like Shopwiki, as it is probably the only consumer comparison site that features retailers regardless of whether they pay for inclusion.  The company has expanded its service into the UK now, and it offers a wide range of services to help you decide.  I used their buying guide for food mixers recently and it was really useful in making up my mind on the best brands.
