When we go out in hot weather we have to make sure that we take plenty of water, especially for me. I have a special travelling water bottle with a bowl integrated into it. If I drink all the water then Mum or Dad will get it refilled wherever they can, even once in a local stream. We don’t have any Portable Water Filters so we just hoped for the best - it was probably cleaner than tap water actually.

The weather in Florida lives up to its reputation as the Sunshine State, unlike this part of the world. My Nan is getting a bit carried away with things she wants to do at the new house. She discovered that the loft is completely boarded and insulated, with no junk lurking around. There is good lighting and a foldaway ladder to climb up. ‘We could put some home theater seating up here and watch movies’ she said. Well I suppose that means I would not be left out, maybe it is quite a good idea.

Here I am back on the south coast, the pace of my life is breathtaking lately. I have come back to check on how my Nan is settling in to her new house, and things are going well. The house has quite a funky colour scheme and there are wood blinds at the bedroom windows. This is a nice trendy look for an older lady, I think.

If your dog attacks the post when it drops through the door, there are two things you can do: train him not to do it, or get a mailbox outside. There are plenty of designs of Mailboxes that will suit your house and keep your post clean and dry with no doggie teeth marks on it. I am happy to say my Mum does not need to worry about this, I never damage the post - but I do occasionally growl at the postman.
Many people may feel frustrated when their dog spoils the mail but that is not true for all of the pets dogs. Some aggressive breeds like great danes might do some trouble with the posts but a careful placement of the mail box is the solution. The havanese gives many such complaints and is most difficult to train for the specific area but, jack russell is just an easy nut because of its tiny and short stature.

Our niece has started a new job this week and she is now living away from home. She needs to get used to doing things differently so that she can make the most of her time off. Whenever she can get online she is now checking out the booking agencies so that she can buy concert tickets online and get them sent to her new address. Work hard, play hard as they say.
