Kevin the Collie Blogging Technique

This is where I write my words of dog wisdom for my blog. Dogs with blogs have to find a way of working with the keyboard and mouse, this is how I do it. Whenever the muse takes me I sit down behind the laptop, and preferably under the coffee table, and after a few barks or grunts I give Mum the idea of what I want to say on the blog, then it appears in writing. It’s hard work but a dog has to make a living, you know.

Kevin the Collie Birthday

Hey! Today is the second anniversary of the day I came home from the rescue centre with my new Mum and Dad. I have had loads of birthday wishes from doggie and human friends all day. It was really sunny this morning so we went to Alexandra Park and Mum was not phased when I got really, really muddy. I met some really nice dogs including Sally, a very attractive Lurcher – Collie cross with a diamond studded collar. Hmm, hope I see her again. I think I am having a party tonight, fingers crossed.

I was Tagged

Scrappy tagged me so I have to write my resolutions.
The game is to list 5 New Year Resolutions
and then to tag 5 more dog Bloggers:
1. Drink more water – then I can mark out the whole of Muswell Hill as My Manor
2. Stop scavenging food from the street – as long as I get nice biscuit when I get home
3. Start chasing balls when hoomans throw them. They like it, and I might get more treats.
4. Stay on the pavement when we are walking along the streets. Mum says I will fall in front of a car one day when I strain to cross.
5. Wear my bandanas more often (and keep them 0n). We have lost loads of scarves, Mum will have to pin them for me. Also they look good in photos!

I have tagged Butchy and Snickers, Hana, Bear Bear the Rottweiler, Charlie and Pacco
I could not tag Loui as someone already got him!

Christmas Dog Tags

I’ve been tagged – twice – by my dear mate Loui and by a new friend, Oscar – good fun, this is my first tag!

The Rules: The player of this game starts with “3 things they would love to get for Christmas” and also has to list “3 things they definitely do not want to get for Christmas”. Then they tag five friends and list their names. The ones who get tagged need to write on their blogs about their Christmas wishes, and state this rule clearly, then tag five more mates. And the one who tags need to leave a comment that says “you’ve been Christmas tagged!” in their comments and tell them to read your blog. So here we go -

3 things I would LOVE to get for Christmas
1) A massive bone
2) Sausage and stuffing for dinner every day over the holidays
3) A walk in the woods on Christmas Day

3 things I definitely DON’T want for Christmas

1) No baths
2) No bans – I don’t want to hear ‘dogs not allowed here’ ANYWHERE
3) No grooming

I am going to tag Butchy and Snickers, Onion the Celebrity Dog, The Beautiful Hana, Jay the Yorkie & Ivy the squirrel hunter, and Toby

Raining Cats and Dogs – Dog Coat for Christmas

My friend Loui and I are both agreed – we are fed up with the rain. Today is grey and drizzly, it has rained every night this week. Loui has gone do far as getting a waterproof 4 legged suit with holes for “those” places. That is a bit too embarrassing, I just refuse to leave the garden when it is raining heavily. I have a fluorescent coat, but it is nothing like as elaborate as Loui’s new waterproof doggie coat. Have a look, he says his street cred could suffer when he wears it.
