Training Tips To Keep Your Dog Happy With A Daily Routine

It is so easy to get distracted when working in your own home environment and as I work full-time from home running my own business, it was important that I settle my puppy into a daily routine from an early age.

I got my latest dog Zoe as a 7 week old puppy and to ensure that she got the attention and exercise that she needed and I was able to carry on with my own work with minimal disruption, I felt it was important to start the puppy training and get her into a routine at an early age. Read more »

Dog Adventures in Muswell Hill Snow

It snowed last night, so we went to Alexandra Park with lots of others, desperate to enjoy the scattering of fluffy powdery snow while it lasts. In the park we met a lady who had lost her Jack Russell, Bertie. She was extra worried as his dog tag had fallen off. He is white, she told us: not so easy to spot today. We looked for him all the way but he could not be found. We know their address so we walked round there later and when we knocked at the door, we heard – a dog barking! Bertie the Jack Russell had found his way home and was waiting on the doorstep when his Mum got back.
Mum insisted on taking a photo of me in the snow, so here it is. I even sat in my famous ‘Dog as Sphinx’ pose – in exchange for a dog biscuit.

Christmas Dog Tags

I’ve been tagged – twice – by my dear mate Loui and by a new friend, Oscar – good fun, this is my first tag!

The Rules: The player of this game starts with “3 things they would love to get for Christmas” and also has to list “3 things they definitely do not want to get for Christmas”. Then they tag five friends and list their names. The ones who get tagged need to write on their blogs about their Christmas wishes, and state this rule clearly, then tag five more mates. And the one who tags need to leave a comment that says “you’ve been Christmas tagged!” in their comments and tell them to read your blog. So here we go -

3 things I would LOVE to get for Christmas
1) A massive bone
2) Sausage and stuffing for dinner every day over the holidays
3) A walk in the woods on Christmas Day

3 things I definitely DON’T want for Christmas

1) No baths
2) No bans – I don’t want to hear ‘dogs not allowed here’ ANYWHERE
3) No grooming

I am going to tag Butchy and Snickers, Onion the Celebrity Dog, The Beautiful Hana, Jay the Yorkie & Ivy the squirrel hunter, and Toby
