Good news for lovers of the best beaches in England – Dogs will soon be allowed on some Cornwall beaches in the Helston and Lizard area. Until now the ban was 24hours a day between Easter and the end of September: in future we dogs will be able to go on the beaches after 7pm. The same district is going to ban dogs from all children’s play areas, that seems fair enough to me. I can’t get on the swings anyway.

Mum has been checking a lot of dog friendly hotels in the UK, and you might want to read about the hotels that she found. We are going to stay in Devon and we have found a hotel that gives every dog a goodie bag when they check in. There are some excellent dog friendly hotels in Devon near the beaches and we are looking forward to our stay. Mum and Dad also wanted hotels with WiFi internet access and they were quite surprised at how many doggie hotels in Devon offer free internet access as well. We have found two really good dog friendly hotels that let the humans play with their laptops, so everyone is happy.

We are spending a whole week down at our new seaside base, and I am having a great time. Nearly every morning we go to the beach, and the sand is soft and white. It is lovely for rolling around and covering my fur in sand!

Here is a funny shot of me and Dad – he said I must look at the camera and you can see that he made sure I turned the right way. The sea was lapping behind us, but I only went in up to my ankles.

I have successfully moved my Nan to her new house by the sea, and there is a sandy beach within ten minutes walk. We went down on Thursday, after I had supervised the removal men as they shifted thousands of boxes into their van. Then we cleaned the house and drove down to the coast, stopping at our favourite roadside cafe on the way. We met the man there who refilled my water bottle from the stream last time we were down there. As it was lunchtime, Mum had an egg roll and I helped her eat it. This was a nice break before we went to the house to organise the furniture. Mum made sure our beds were put up, that is the most important thing. Then she found a bowl of water for me and the removal men brought all the things in very quickly. I was quite tired after all this, and I only got two hours sleep in the car so I curled up for a little rest.

I love it when we go to stay in a holiday rental villa, we always have a great time and discover some new walks. WE found this information on the beaches where I am not allowed in the summer months: I will just have to go to Climping beach instead. I like it there, it is completely unspoilt.

• Bognor Regis – Park Road to Gloucester Road
• Felpham – Canning Road to Felpham Sailing Club
• Littlehampton – East Pier to Norfolk Road
