Can I give your dog a biscuit?

Music to canine ears, when Mum and I were in Muswell Hill Broadway yesterday. A lady came up and asked that magic question, ‘Can I give your dog a biscuit?’ Well, what do you think? So Mum said that would be very nice, and thanked her. The biscuits were Markies, a little imitation marrowbone snack, and of course I got two. They were big so we had to stand around while I ate them. This lady has no dog of her own so she likes to make a fuss of any friendly dogs she sees. Tha’s fine with me!. She also gave Mum a couple to take home for me, but then I was not allowed any cake (so I did my most appealing look and I still got some cake as well).

One time my mom found a really really big Milkbone dog biscuit on our front porch. It didn’t have a “from” on it, so she told me “Sorry Hana, I have to throw it out.” She said someone could be trying to poison me!

Hana that must have been horrible for you, but she is right. That is why my Mum stops me eating leftover takeaways that people throw on the pavement. Shame – it is like a street buffet after the kids have been out on Saturday nights. Still, I get good leftovers at home.
