We went house hunting again today - I know, it is really boring and I wonder why we keep doing it. But we did pick up one very good idea when we noticed that the people had their flat screen TV secured to the living room wall. This is a real space saver and it got us thinking about buying one. Last night we spent some time watching TV and nobody could understand why I was not settling. Well, it was obvious - they were sitting in their cosy recliner chairs and I was on the stripped wooden floor! Mum soon realised and fetched one of my beds from the other room. Problem solved: I laid down and snoozed for the rest of the evening.

Mum says she has to think of the cost of my dog food every day, and this week I refused to eat my usual food so she had to go to the pet shop to buy a different organic dog food for me. I change my diet so often, she says it is lucky that she keeps plenty of cash in her checking account
to pay for my dietary whims.

Today we heard dire warnings on the radio about a threatened flu epidemic this winter. They were even talking about the fact that so many humans might be ill that they would not be able to keep the shops stocked up. So we are all taking our nutritional supplements and I hope Mum will buy extra food for me before it happens!

Christmas shopping has started in earnest and Mum says she knows exactly what she should get for me - a real silver dog tag instead of the cheap metal one that I wear now. This seems a bit extravagant, just in case it gets lost, but she says it is a good investment. Over the past year the price of gold and silver has shot up, as opposed to lots of the other things that we have money invested in. Apparently there is an agency in the States that does all the hard work for you if you want to be an investor, they even find somewhere to store your precious gold or silver bars. Or if you want to take them home and use them, like we do, that is fine as well. I do think I would look smart with a nice silver tag - maybe I can have a silver dog bowl as well?
