You know by now that I am a party dog who likes to go on holiday. Yesterday I found the perfect place for a weekend trip, extended vacation or special holiday – source for Mendocino travel in Mendocino, Fort Bragg, Little River, Albion, Elk, Point Arena and more. Guide also available for our Restaurants.Mendocino bed and breakfast looks just the trick for a little dog.

reception

My Mum has a horrible recurring nightmare, that dates back to when she was in a full-time job. She was really spooked by the idea of being marooned in a clearing bank filled with a battery of soulless reception deskssitting in some vast spooky hall where most fantasy film makers are watching your next fantasy movie.

I think my Dad has turned into a bit of a geek while we have been apart. He is on his own in London and he read a book about a thing called Google whack, where you have to type two words for a search and if your chosen term comes up with only one related site, that is a result. How about pulse oximeter, I asked him. Funnily enough, Dad had to go and look that one up. Fancy not knowing – just click on it and you will find out.

Babbacombe Beach for Dogs

After I met new friends in the village of Babbacombe, we decided to find the beach. According to our map, the west beach at Babbacombe allows dogs. The village is on a cliff, and the beach is below but there is a road down to the doggie beach, the car park is very small though. We were lucky and we found a car park space. The beach is lovely red sand and we played there for about an hour, we also walked along the cliff to the section of the beach at the bottom of the Cliff Railway that is NOT dog friendly. When I got back to the doggie section I decided this was the nicest part of the beach anyway, and I rolled in the sand. You can see me in the picture, then I shook the sand all over Mum. She laughed, that shows she was in Holiday mood ….

Funny Dog Stories

I love visiting other dogs’ blogs, and seeing what they get up to. One funny dog is called Bernard, he is a miniature Schnauzer living near Lichfield here in the UK and he is still a puppy. His family have captured some great images of Bernard doing the things that dogs do best, like trying to get the last bit of ice cream out of the tub. Even at my great age I still enjoy games like this and I am famed for my trick of holding a roasting dish down with my paw so that I can get the last drops of gravy – happy times!

Dog Friendly Hotel Plymouth

One of my favourite dog friendly places to stay in Devon has just been reviewed, and it seems to be really nice for humans and dogs to have a nice holiday there. It is a very pretty hotel with over 600 acres of ground where dogs can roam around to their heart’s content without a road in sight. Inside the hotel we dogs are welcome in the Bar and Receptions areas, as well as our bedrooms, of course. You can read about this dog friendly holiday yourself here:
