Flea Remedies

OK so we have had to get some more Frontline for me. There is a new version called Frontline Plus, which is supposed to be more effective. You can buy it without a prescription here so Mum has ordered it online. Meantime we have been looking at some natural ways of repelling fleas before they do any harm. How about vinegar rubbed all over your fur? Yes, we tried it! My favourite so far is baked garlic with my dinner. The smell of garlic keeps fleas away: it will probably keep all the humans away as well! We are checking out a few more remedies later today.

We are getting tired of spending a fortune at the vet’s on medications that do not produce results. Unlike a lot of things that we buy there seems to be no chance of getting your money back if the drug does not work. I know that drug companies spend a fortune on trials but how about some extra market research where they find out about the experiences of dogs like me, and my Mum and Dad?

Fleas are around

My allergies have been really quite bad since I moved to the seaside, and Mum has been putting my tee shirts on me as much as possible. She has even even dosing me with Children’s antihistamine medication as well. Today I had a bath, for the second time this week using Malaseb shampoo. Mum was so upset when she combed me afterwards and found fleas on my skin!!If you can smell vinegar, that’s me - I will report back asap.

Dog House - not for me

Mum and Nan went to see another new house yesterday. They sneaked out of the house while I was asleep, and when they came back Mum was full of stories about the beautiful Boxer Dog living in the house. Her name was Mabel, and she had a big kennel in the back garden, painted blue. When they left, the dog ran to the upstairs window and stood in the window frame watching them as they left. Mum thought the dog was lovely but now she has an idea for getting me a kennel. No way - I like my indoor comforts!

My Holiday Hotel reviewed

The lovely dog friendly hotel in Torquay where I stayed on the first part of my trip to Devon has been reviewed and you might want to have a look. If you remember, this was a small friendly hotel where two rooms were equipped for dogs to sty (no charge for dogs), and the owners even offered a dog sitting service in the evening if your Mum and Dad wanted to go out for dinner without their dog. I make too much fuss if my Mum and Dad leave me behind, so tey had to take me with them every time.
