Dog meets frogs

I cannot exactly see the attraction of watching frogs, but Mum and Dad enjoy spending hours by the side of the pond, shrieking with delight when the slimy green chaps jump off a rock. I suppose it is nice to see how much they can grow in just a few weeks. They start off as little tadpoles no bigger than a dog’s claw, and then they turn into croaking green monsters bigger than a dog’s paw! As long as they do not eat dog food than I am happy.

Diets

My Dad is going out tonight to see one of his friends who is always making a big lifestyle change. Mostly this means yo yo dieting, and this guy has tried all the major weight loss supplements like
hydroxycut. They usually help him lose weight, but then he goes back to all his old eating habits and then a couple of months later he finds another diet. Whey can’t people just eat everything they can grab, just like me?

Dog car repair

Remove Car Dent With Airduster – video powered by Metacafe

This morning Mum was really annoyed when she spotted yet another dent in one of the car doors, caused by people who open their doors too wide in car parks. They are small dents but they do spoil the look of the car. I do think a car should look nice if a dog is travelling in it. This afternoon she was blogging with some of her friends and we found this idea for repairing the dent yourself. We think we will try it on Dad’s car first, cos his car is older.

Pub Dogs

Here in England we have a new nationwide ban on smoking in public places. This means that nobody can smoke inside the pub, and this is good news for us dogs. The gardens at most of our pubs have now installed big parasol covers so that dogs and people can go into the garden even if it is raining. I have met lots of new friends out in the pub garden, cos all the smokers have to go there as well as the dogs and their owners. So even if the pub inside is not dog friendly, there are more places to go for dogs unless the weather is very cold.

Dog Branding Logo Game

My good friend, the lovely Mihaela, tagged me to pass the love on to four other dog lovers. Mig wrote a good story about how powerful dog images can be in website promotion, and to prove it I have included a picture of the Lycos dog. Here in the UK we are used to seeing the image of Lucky, the dog who advertises insurance and causes havoc in the family car. Lucky is a Jack Russell and Mum says that after she saw him on TV day after day she decided that she wanted to get a dog of her own. Who am I going to tag? Here is the list:
BearBear the Fearsome Rottie
Oscar the Airedale
Butchy and Snickers
Maggie the Airedale

They are four cool dogs and you will enjoy visiting their blogs, I am sure.

Dog Holiday in Torquay

I am really looking forward to my holiday next month, we are staying at two pet friendly hotels in Devon and they must have been designed for us. The first hotel is in Torquay and it is has two rooms suitable for dogs to stay in because they have polished wood floors to make it easy to sweep up any fur. I can go anywhere in the hotel except the restaurant, and their website includes these photos of dogs who have stayed at the hotel – sweet! The hotel owners are real dog lovers and they have offered to look after me in the evening if Mum and Dad want to go out. But Mum says the hotel told her about so many pubs where dogs can go in Torquay that I can probably go out with them every night. And we have heard that there is a beach near Torquay that is dedicated to dogs, some of the best beaches are in Devon so this should be dog heaven.
