Kevin by the seaside

I have successfully moved my Nan to her new house by the sea, and there is a sandy beach within ten minutes walk. We went down on Thursday, after I had supervised the removal men as they shifted thousands of boxes into their van. Then we cleaned the house and drove down to the coast, stopping at our favourite roadside cafe on the way. We met the man there who refilled my water bottle from the stream last time we were down there. As it was lunchtime, Mum had an egg roll and I helped her eat it. This was a nice break before we went to the house to organise the furniture. Mum made sure our beds were put up, that is the most important thing. Then she found a bowl of water for me and the removal men brought all the things in very quickly. I was quite tired after all this, and I only got two hours sleep in the car so I curled up for a little rest.

Picture Me

I am back in London after organising my Nan’s house move at the weekend. There is still some unpacking to do and at the moment she is not sure where she will put some of her ornaments. She likes to have photos of the family around, although she has not got a photo of me in any of her photo frames. There are dozens of them and it is hard to find places to display them in a place where I won’t bump into them if I am rolling around on the floor. We went online and I showed her that she could have some digital picture frames instead, and this would let her show off dozens of images at the same time. A digital photo frame can take short movies as well, and Mum suggested that she could use that excellent film of me romping on the beach, which anyone would enjoy. Mum says in a few years time everybody will be using digital frames instead of all those multiple little ones, and we will buy one for Nan on her birthday.

selling

I know a lot of my friends sell products on their blogs, sometimes enough to be called an online shop. If you have a good website and a good product, it should be easy to sell and get an income from it. The clever way to organise this is to use shopping cart software, which means lower management costs for the seller and an easy buying process for the buyer. Buyers can easily choose from the items on display to find what they are looking for, put it in the shopping cart and press ‘buy’. Then they can pay using a credit card or debit card, securely without revealing their personal data to unauthorised people. If you tried to set all this up yourself it would take ages and costs a fortune. The shopping cart software gives you a menu where you can include all the products easily and quickly. Where do you find the best version? Ashop is a complete solution that you can set up on your website for a simple, low monthly fee.

7 Random things about me

I have been tagged by my friend Silken to play a new meme game.

The Rules: Each player starts with 7 random facts/habits about themselves. People who are tagged need to write their own blog post with their 7 things as well as these rules. You need to tag 7 others and list their names on your blog. Remember to leave a comment for them letting them know they have been tagged and to read your blog.

This is a good tagging game because I think all the other players so far have been humans. That means I can find seven other dogs with blogs quite easily and they haven’t been tagged before.
Here is my list:
1. I like having a bath, and I actually preen myself when I am getting bathed
2. I do not chase sticks or balls, and if they ask me to I adopt my haughty look
3. I love beaches but I don’t like swimming and I get scared if the water goes above my paws
4. I never sit on furniture and I don’t like being picked up
5. When I was in the rescue home they didn’t see my collar (with a name on it) for three days cos I am so hairy.
6. I enjoy being tucked up in bed at night
7. I don’t chase cats – and I don’t take any notice when they start arching their backs and hissing at me.

This is who I am going to tag:
Hana the Eskie, Bear Bear the Fearsome Rottie, Onion, Jazz and Sparkey, Oscar the Airedale, Loui Butch and Snickers. They all have great blogs, so make sure you pay them a visit.

Dogs Can Talk – Here is Proof

My friend Blondie just sent me this top video clip of talking dogs! I am sometimes a little vocal, especially when we are going out for a walk or if I am being taken for a night at my favourite pub. But I cannot compete with these dogs. The Dalamatian says ‘hello’ and the West Highland Terrier says loving things to his Mum. Have a listen and you will be amazed: I am off to practice my act.

Getting paid to Blog

I have found another place for a working dog to get paid to blog , it is called Smorty and it is a paid to blog site. It is free for dogs with blogs to join the site as long as your blog is indexed by Google or Yahoo and is three months old or more. You also need to be an active blogger, like me! The way that Smorty works is that you log in and check the opportunities that allow you to write a paid blog post for an advertiser. At the moment there are about seven blog advertising assignments from advertisers on the site for you to choose from, and then you write your blog post and submit the details. Once your posting is approved you get paid through Paypal weekly.
