Bite Me Boy

I know you are all well groomed doggies so I want to let you know about Trendy Puppy boutique, where you can buy designer dog collars, small dog carriers, dog clothes and unique dog gifts. They currently have a new line of dog collars and spring dog clothes and they sell fun and fashionable dog gifts too.

Do you know what is the trendiest thing a dog can be seen with this season? It is the new designer luxe leash glove. It is compatible with retractable leads in small and medium sizes. Mostly they are co-ordinated with collars for that trendy, fashionable puppy look. Black is back and better than before, so make sure you are not seen in the wrong colour!! I am really taken with the Bite Me boy dog Jackets, which look cool enough to fit my ‘Top Dog’ Image.

On a practical note, they stock something that Mum says would be really good for us. It is a dog bath robe – how nice and comfy they are for the pet to wear after a refreshing bath. How much better for your family when you do not simply spray all the excess water around the bathroom after your bath!!

Exercise

I mentioned yesterday how exercise helps dogs and their owners stay healthy. We get upset when we see little dogs being carried around all the time, this prevents them acting as real dogs. I have at least three walks a day, although I am not a very energetic dog now due to my age. Even on a rainy day I go into the garden several times, and then I get extra walks the next day. Sometimes I really do not want to go very far and my Mum and Dad understand this, beacuse I can get quite stiff and tired from time to time. They also see that different dogs have different exercise needs. Not every dog can run the same distance, or at the same speed.

Dangerous Dog Paints

I have an update on the condition of Ben Wilson, the artist who painted my dog portrait. Mum spoke to him yesterday and he is still in a lot of pain nearly ten days after his arrest for painting on chewing gum. Ben visited the hospital and he learned that he has two broken ribs. Ben’s paints are still in police custody – obviously a danger to the public!

Dog walking manners

We met one of the local dog walkers yesterday when we went to the park at lunchtime. He had six dogs with him, of various sizes and breeds. There were four West Highland Terriers alongside an Old English Sheepdog and a Greyhound. There is a careful balance needed when deciding how long and how far the dogs should walk. All dogs need exercise to keep them healthy, mentally and physically. The right amount of exercise helps your dog live longer and reminds him he is a dog! Meeting other dogs is a big bonus and you should allow them to sniff each other out as long as both dogs are off the lead. If they are on the lead, be careful as some dogs get aggressive on the lead. The reason for this is that their body language is restricted and they can misunderstand the other dog’s intentions. Or the dog may simply be aggressive!

Dog in the House

Mum left me at home today for just over three hours because she had to go out and it was quite a hit sunny day. It was really too hot for me to wait in the car, even if it was parked in the shade. So I stayed home and followed the trail of biscuits that Mum left for me to eat. I barked for a while, but then I curled up by the front door. When Mum cam home, all was peaceful. Mum was very pleased and I got more dog biscuits as a reward.

Dogs and Football

I went to the pub twice in the past week – without Mum! The reason was that Dad wanted to watch the playoff matches for the team that he supports, which is Oldham. These matches were not screened by terrestrial TV but happily out favourite dog friendly pub, the Royal Oak, kindly screened both games for us. I had a great time and made lots of new friends. I wore my Dad’s scarf just to make sure I looked the part. dad promised me a dog biscuit for every goal they scored. As they didn’t score I nearly starved – fortunately he gave me some biscuits for being such a well behaved dog.
