I am still coughing quite a lot. Dad rang the vet and they said Kennel Cough is just like a human cold virus. It should go away on its own, and you might need antibiotics if a secondary infection develops. I have been taking linctus and paracetamol, soaked on bread with a bit of mayo on top - yum! Today someone told Mum to give me an infusion of sage: this is a remedy recommended by a dog breeder, so we are trying it. I am taking that soaked on to bread as well.

You remember I was worried about a lost Jack Russell recently. Well yesterday I heard about a German Shepherd who continually wandered out of his garden. On one adventure he found a woman whose car had crashed and rolled down an embankment. The dog pulled her by her clothes as far as the nearest road - about 50 yards - and helped her lean against him so she could flag down a passing car. This heroic dog has, incredibly, been put up for adoption by his former owners. The good news is that dog lovers are queuing up to adopt him.
