Dog Day Afternoon

When we left Dorset the weather changed - cool and rainy. Mum and I went for a quick walk in the morning, while we were out the Jehovah’s Witnesses came to the door! Remember there are just four houses in the vicinity, then nothing for half a mile …. Dad’s version of the exchange:
JW “hello I’m from the Jehovah’s Witnesses”
Dad “hello, I’m on holiday”
Nice one, Dad!

Dog Break in Dorset - Final Day

Constant sunshine was a real bonus to our Dorset holiday. Remember I like sandy beaches - we went to Weymouth, with the I have ever rolled in. One end of the beach is great to see some of the other chaps swimming and chasing sticks.

I had a paddle as the sea was calm: I am not a swimmer, you see. We all loved the beach, but the town is a bit neglected as all the big shops have migrated to a new shopping centre. We wandered along the beach for a cup of tea: the cafe owner said we were in a non-dog area (no-one else seemed to mind). So I ran through his kitchen just for mischief - Mum had to pull me out. Well, he should have closed the door if he was cooking

Back to the cottage for a , my favourite!

Mad Dogs and Englishmen

We are going away again soon and I have not finished my journal of the last break. We lost a lot of time on Monday waiting at the cottage for a hire car to be delivered - too tedious to relate it again. In the afternoon we went on a around , starting on . It was idyllic, with spectacular views and dramatic valleys. The wild flowers were great, too: Pyramidal and all over the place! It was very hot and the last part of the walk was uphill. Dad recently got me a new travelling water bottle with a bowl attached. I really needed it that day!

This Dog is Way Cool - Kevin the Collie Salutes You, Tyson

Tyson is a supercool bulldog from the US who also has his own website. I am never going to master the art of skateboarding, I am far too tall. So I wanted to share this with you - make sure you look at the movie clips, then come back and leave me a comment.

Dog went to Dorset

Jack, the Wag and Bone Winner, asked me to update you on where I went for my . We went on 1st July, stopping a few times on the way, to stretch our legs, including a country bakery where the hot bread was cooling in trays outside - but they would not let me near it….
The cottage in Donhead St Andrew was great, and there was a ‘Welcome’ bottle of wine on the table, so They were happy. We had lots of quiet lanes to walk in and I could walk off the lead most of the time. Dorset seems to be a great place for generally, and some people were extra kind to me. The chef at offered me a bowl of water when he saw me sit down. This kind of thing doesn’t often happen to a , and I was really grateful as I was extra thirsty in the hot weather. I think Mum wants to move there now…
Hope that explains my Dorset Adventures. Kev

Wag and Bone

Went for a walk in Barnet yesterday evening and made new friends Jack and his dog Louis, a and cross. Like me, Louis came from the which is one of the best in England. Jack and Louis had been to the Wag and Bone Show in Windsor, and they won third place in the Class Young Owner’s Best Friend. Well done, Jack and Louis.
Interesting, Mum recognised Jack’s Dad and they could not remember from where. Until he reminded us all that they both go to the same . I could have told them that!
